Description of preparation:
So that the dish does not turn out to be too high in calories, croutons with garlic are prepared without the addition of vegetable oil. If you prefer to cook them with it, add oil at the stage of frying the bread slices or mix pressed garlic in it. Do not forget about the crushed herbs – with them the taste of the dish will sparkle with new colors.
Prepare the ingredients. The variety of bread can be anything, it is advisable to purchase a sliced loaf or brick.
Cut slices of white, rye or black bread into medium-sized cubes. A large cut will not be fried, and a small one will burn.
Warm the pan under moderate heat and put the bread into it. Fry for about 2-3 minutes, stirring every minute, so that crackers are evenly fried on all sides. Turn off the heat.
Peel the garlic cloves and rinse them in water. Compress on a special kitchen gadget into a bowl or deep plate. If there is no press, then grind the cloves practically in mashed potatoes. When planning to add oil, pour it into the garlic and add salt. Mix everything.
Put the fried crackers in the garlic bowl and mix. Leave to cool for about 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Rusks will absorb garlic flavor when cooled, will become delicious, crispy and brittle.
Put them on a board or serve directly in a bowl, a bowl of soup, borsch, scrambled eggs and other dishes.
