The finished buns are very soft, fragrant and have an original cut. Following the recipe, you will certainly be pleased with the excellent result.
Prepare the required ingredients.
In a deep bowl, combine warm water, yeast, sugar 1 tbsp. (of the total), flour 2 tbsp. (out of the total). Stir well. Leave it on for 15 minutes at room temperature.
After the time has passed, pour warm milk into the yeast mixture, add the egg, the remaining sugar. Stir.
Add most flour, soft butter and start kneading.
Add the remaining flour and knead to a soft, non-sticky dough.
Divide the resulting dough into two equal portions. Add cocoa to one. Mix well.
Place both parts in a lifting bowl, separating them with foil. Cover with a towel and leave in a warm place for 1 hour 30 minutes.
After the time has elapsed, beat each part and roll it into a layer 0.5 cm thick.
Connect the rolled layers. There should be a layer of cocoa at the bottom. Roll again with a rolling pin.
Cut the dough into buns with a circular cut. Cut a smaller round in the middle of the workpiece.
Line a baking sheet with parchment. Lay out larger blanks on a sheet, without a center. Turn the middle over so that the cocoa layer is on top and insert into the indentations. Cover the pan with a towel and leave to proof for 30 minutes. Then brush with an egg and bake in a preheated oven to 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
Remove the finished buns from the baking sheet, transfer and refrigerate.
Enjoy your meal!
