Instead of walnuts, you can safely use chopped peanuts. You can add not only lemon juice to sugar syrup, but also some kind of fruit essence, so the finished donuts will turn out to be even more original and unique in taste.
Prepare your ingredients.
Pour water into a ladle, add a pinch of salt and add butter.
Heat everything until the oil is completely dissolved.
Mix the dough well.
Cool it a little and add eggs one at a time.
Mix the dough very well. It should be free of lumps.
Shape donuts. It is more convenient to do this procedure with hands soaked in water.
Fry the donuts in well-heated vegetable oil until golden brown on both sides. Make the fire medium, even almost minimal.
Make a syrup. To do this, combine a glass of water, sugar and lemon juice.
Boil the syrup for 6-10 minutes.
Place the donuts in it and mix gently.
Put the finished Turkish donuts on a dish, sprinkle them with chopped walnuts on top.
