Below I will explain in more detail how to make Chinese tofu. The dish tastes best with soft or silky tofu. They have the most delicate texture. For vegetables, you can also add mini corn, mung bean sprouts and green beans.
Prepare all ingredients.
Cut the tofu into slices about 2 cm thick. Blot them with paper towels to absorb excess moisture. Then roll in starch on both sides.
Fry the tofu over medium heat in a skillet with butter until golden brown.
Prepare your vegetables. Cut onions into feathers, carrots into thin slices, and bell peppers into large pieces.
Fry the vegetables with sesame seeds in a skillet for about 5-6 minutes.
Stir the starch in the water, soy sauce and chili powder in a separate bowl.
Combine tofu with vegetables in a frying pan, pour in the sauce. Stir and cook over medium heat for a couple of minutes until the sauce thickens.
Chinese tofu is ready, bon appetit!
