Prepare all ingredients.
Peel potatoes, wash and dry. Cut the potatoes into small pieces.
Peel the onion and rinse, then cut the onion into small cubes.
Peel the carrots, cut into cubes or grate on a medium grater.
Pepper seeds and remove partitions. Rinse the tomato and cut into cubes, similarly cut the pepper.
Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan, put onions, carrots, peppers, fry for 3 minutes, then add tomatoes and potatoes, cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Pour vegetables with hot water or broth, add salt, pepper, bay leaf to taste. Cook the soup over medium heat for 30 minutes.
