In addition to potatoes, I suggest adding a salad of fresh cabbage, cucumbers and dill, also add chicken and sauce. This shawarma should be served immediately after cooking, while the potatoes are crunching. As an addition, you can serve tea or a cup of coffee.
Prepare all ingredients.
Peel the potatoes, rinse, and grate for Korean carrots.
Transfer the potatoes to a large bowl and cover with water, rinse the potatoes, drain the water and repeat the procedure three times. Dry the potatoes afterwards.
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan, put potatoes and fry over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, until golden brown.
Chop the cabbage into thin strips, also cut the cucumber into small cubes. Finely chop the dill.
Add salt and pepper to the salad, a little oil. Stir everything and mash the cabbage with your hands.
Spread a sheet of pita bread on your work surface. Along the edge of the pita bread, put salad and pieces of chicken fillet – boiled, baked, smoked, whatever you like.
Brush the chicken and salad with tomato sauce and garlic sauce. You can just take mayonnaise and ketchup.
Place crispy potato strips on top.
Roll the pita bread and serve.
