Here's a recipe for a wonderful red lentil-based gravy. By the way, yellow is also suitable. A moderately spicy sauce with curry, red paprika, onions and tomato paste will make ordinary fish cakes a festive dish.
Prepare the ingredients for making the fishcake sauce.
Wash the lentils and put in a saucepan, cover with water. Cook for 15-20 minutes, until the lentils are boiled well.
Finely chop the onions and place in a frying pan with vegetable oil.
Fry the onions until translucent. Then add the curry.
Add red paprika.
Place the cooked lentils and tomato paste in a skillet.
Stir the lentils, onions, tomato paste, curry and paprika well. Season with salt to taste. Boil the gravy for another 3-4 minutes and turn it off. If the gravy is very thick, add a little water.
Place the fish cakes in the gravy and heat for 2-3 minutes.
The sauce for the fish cakes is ready. Bon Appetit!
