Oddly enough, but it is the addition of vinegar that makes the drink look like pineapple. This compote turns out to be bright, beautiful and appetizing. You can serve compote with different types of pastries.
Prepare all ingredients.
Peel the pumpkin gently, wash and cut into medium cubes.
Pour water into a saucepan, add spices – citric acid, cinnamon. Put the pumpkin in a saucepan, boil for five minutes.
Add sugar and vinegar and cook for another 2 minutes.
Transfer the pumpkin immediately and pour the compote into a sterile jar.
Roll the jar tightly with a sterile lid and put it upside down, cover with a blanket, leave for a day. Then store the compote in the pantry.
