These puff tubes are perfect for any tea party or children's party. The easiest way to cut the dough into strips is to use a pizza knife. Allow the tubes to cool completely before filling the tubes with cream.
Prepare all the ingredients you need to make the whipped cream puff rolls. Remove the dough in advance so that it defrosts.
Sprinkle flour on the work surface. Roll the dough out a little in one direction into a rectangle. Cut it lengthwise into strips 2-2.5 centimeters wide.
If you do not have special cones, it is quite possible to make them from food foil. Fold a piece of foil in half and make a cone out of it. Hammer the inside with baking paper for stiffness.
Wrap the dough strips over the cones and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Do not lubricate the cones with anything.
Lubricate the surface of the tubules with a stirred egg.
Place in a hot oven and bake the straws for 30 minutes at 180 degrees.
Remove the straws while they are warm by gently twisting the cones.
Add icing sugar to cold cream and beat until fluffy.
Fill the inside of the straws with whipped cream. This can be done with a piping bag or with a teaspoon.
Sprinkle the finished rolls with icing sugar and serve.
