Almost everyone knows such a dish as cabbage rolls. And if served without sauce, then the cabbage rolls will be a little dry. There are many different fills. Today I will tell you how to prepare a filling for stuffed cabbage based on sour cream and tomato paste. The recipe is universal and suitable not only for cabbage rolls, but also for many other meat dishes.
Prepare all the ingredients.
Heat oil in a pan or stewpan, put grated carrots and diced onions.
Sauté the vegetables stirring until soft.
Add tomato paste and chopped garlic.
Fry everything together for 2-3 minutes.
Add sour cream and ground pepper. In addition to pepper, you can add any favorite spices to taste. Stew on low heat for 3-5 minutes.
Then pour in parts of water or any meat broth. Add salt and chopped fresh herbs to taste.
Bring the sauce to a boil and remove from heat.
Filling for stuffed cabbage is ready. You can use it as gravy, and to extinguish the stuffed cabbage itself.
