Orange and carrot jam is a delicious and easy-to-make treat that I often make myself. In order to cook it, you only need a few simple ingredients that can always be found in the refrigerator. Carrots, oranges, sugar – these products can be used to make delicious sweet jam with a little sourness, which is ideal for a family tea party with pancakes, cheese cakes or your favorite biscuit. From a given number of ingredients, one half-liter jar is obtained.
Prepare all the ingredients you need to make orange and carrot jam.
Wash the carrots well under running water, pat dry with a paper towel and peel. Cut carrots into small cubes or grate on a medium grater.
Place the carrots in a saucepan.
Add sugar to the carrots and stir.
Wash the orange well, pour over boiling water, remove the zest from it, peel it, remove the seeds, cut into small pieces and put in a saucepan.
Add the zest and mix well. Put the saucepan on the fire, bring everything to a boil and cook for 8-10 minutes.
Whisk everything with a blender until smooth.
Pour the jam back into the pot and cook for another 8-10 minutes after boiling.
Pour the jam into a sterilized jar, close with a sterilized lid, leave to cool at room temperature. When the jam is completely cool, put it in the refrigerator or in a cool place.
The orange and carrot jam is ready. Enjoy your meal!
