Hawthorn jelly tastes like apple jelly. It turns out thick, it is quite possible to eat it with a spoon. If you prefer liquid jelly, reduce the amount of starch to 2 tablespoons. Take your pick!
Prepare the required ingredients.
Wash the hawthorn berries well. Throw in a colander to drain the liquid.
After the berries, mash with a crush.
Transfer to a saucepan, cover with water. Put on fire. As soon as it boils, hold for a minute and remove from heat.
Place the contents of the pot on a sieve. Let the broth drain. Use a spoon to rub the pulp through a sieve. Add to the saucepan.
In a separate cup, dilute the starch with 5 tablespoons. water. Mix well.
Add the diluted starch to the broth saucepan. Mix well. Place on fire just below average. Heat for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. As soon as the jelly boils, hold for 2-3 minutes and remove.
