Georgian dumplings – a step by step recipe with a photo on Povar.ru

The dumplings according to this recipe are juicy, hearty and very cheesy! They are prepared simply, but it turns out fantastically delicious! You can use one type of cheese, I have suluguni, or two types at the same time. For example, Adyghe or any other similar cheese is ideal.

Prepare all ingredients.

Combine water, egg and vegetable oil. Add 0.5 tsp. salt and beat a little.

Add flour in portions.

Knead a firm and elastic dough. Collect it in a ball, cover with a towel and let sit for 20 minutes.

Grate the cheese on a fine grater and mash with a fork with soft butter. You can add a little salt to taste.

Cut a piece from the dough, roll it out with a sausage and cut into small pieces.

Dip each piece in flour and roll in a circle. Form the filling into a ball and place in the center. Then, as usual, connect the edges and pinch them in any convenient way.

Cook the dumplings in salted boiling water for about 3-5 minutes (until the dough is ready). If desired, you can freeze part of it and use it as needed.

Georgian dumplings are ready. Serve with a lump of butter or sour cream. Enjoy your meal!
