Juicy and aromatic duck baked with honey can be served with fruits or pickles, vegetable salad or mashed potatoes. Duck meat is especially tasty in a duet with various berry sauces, low-fat cheese, etc.
Prepare the indicated ingredients. Thoroughly clean the carcass of the bird from the remnants of feathers, cut out the gland on the rump (tail).
In a small container, mix any kind of flower honey and mustard, but not grain, otherwise it will burn. Use regular, store-bought mustard, not a powder, but an already diluted product.
Rinse the duck carcass thoroughly in water, dry with paper towels. Pour in salt and ground black pepper, rub the carcass with spices with slight pressure.
Put a mixture of honey and mustard on it, rub inside and out. In such a marinade, leave the carcass for at least 2 hours at room temperature, for a maximum of 4-5 hours.
Then preheat the oven to 200 degrees and place the duck in the roasting sleeve. The duck is baked for as long as it has weight. That is, a carcass weighing 2 kg. will be baked for 2 hours. About 10 minutes before the end of baking, cut a bag on top and brown the duck, being careful not to spill any fat that has melted out of it.
Serve the duck in honey-mustard sauce hot.
