Description of the preparation:
There is nothing complicated in making Italian donuts. But some cooking skills need to be mastered. And if you are not already familiar with the yeast dough and do not know how to make custard, then in the recipe all this is described in detail and shown in the photo. Corn starch in a cream can be replaced with wheat flour. Fresh yeast is completely replaced by dry yeast, they need to be taken three times less. Such donuts are worthy of a festive table. Serve them hot.
Prepare the ingredients for making the donuts.
Put the yeast in a bowl.
Pour in warm milk. Add salt, sugar and sunflower oil.
Pour in the sifted flour.
Knead a soft, elastic dough. Cover it with cling film and place in a warm place.
In an hour and a half, the dough will increase in volume by two to three times.
But while the dough rises, prepare a custard. Pour milk into a saucepan and place on a stove.
In a bowl, mix the yolks, sugar, and corn starch.
When the milk begins to boil, pour in a mixture of yolks, sugar and starch. Constantly mixing, bring the cream to a thickening. Pour in vanilla sugar and cool the cream.
Remove the dough from a bowl, knead and roll into a 1 cm thick layer. Using a glass, make circles with a diameter of 6-7 cm.
Cover the mugs of dough with cling film and let stand for 35-40 minutes.
After a while, the mugs will significantly increase in size and will be ready for frying.
Pour refined sunflower oil into the pan. Heat it well and lay out the dough.
Fry the donuts in oil on both sides until golden. Then put in a plate with a paper towel.
In each donut, make an incision on the side and use a teaspoon to fill the donuts with custard.
Sprinkle powdered sugar on the donuts and serve.
Italian donuts are ready. With tea, coffee, compote very tasty!
