To prepare "Danube" salad, take formed light green tomatoes. Small and dark green fruits are bitter, which will affect the taste. Preparing a salad is simple. The amount of salt, sugar and vinegar I give is purely conditional. The salad must be tasted and adjusted to your taste. In the cold season, a fragrant, bright and tasty salad will be an excellent addition to potato dishes, omelets, as well as a side dish for meat, poultry or fish. From the specified amount of ingredients, 3 jars of 500 ml are obtained.
Prepare the ingredients for the Danube Salad.
Wash green tomatoes and cut into wedges.
Peel the onions, wash and cut into half rings.
Peel the bell pepper, wash and cut into strips.
Peel the carrots, wash and cut into strips.
Place all chopped vegetables in a heavy-bottomed saucepan.
Pour the sunflower oil into a saucepan with vegetables.
Add salt and sugar.
Stir the vegetables and let them stand for 2-2.5 hours to let them juice. After the pan, cover and simmer over medium heat for 25-30 minutes until desired softness. Then add vinegar, stir salad.
Put the prepared salad hot in sterilized jars and roll up with sterilized lids. Turn upside down and wrap in a blanket. Keep this way until the cans have cooled completely. Store Danube salad in a cool place.
