Chokeberry jam with cherry leaves
Cooking description:
The appearance and taste of the jam is very similar to the cherry jam with small berries. Has a very beautiful saturated color. It must be laid out in dry cans, as water can provoke the appearance of mold. The jam is perfectly stored in a cool and dry place.
Prepare all the ingredients you need to make chokeberry jam with cherry leaves. Remove the berries from the branches, sort, wash and dry.
Rinse and dry the cherry leaves. Place the leaves in a bowl and pour in the water. Bring to a boil and simmer for 20 minutes over low heat.
Strain the broth and squeeze the leaves. Pour sugar into the broth and bring to a boil. Cook until sugar dissolves, stirring.
Add black rowan berries and bring to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes over low heat, stirring. Remove from heat, cover with a clean cloth and leave for 6 hours.
Bring the jam to a boil again, cook for 5 minutes and cool again. Keep it on for another 6 hours.
Put the jam over medium heat, bring to a boil and immediately place in sterilized and dry jars, cover with a lid.
Bon Appetit!
