Prepare all the ingredients.
Pour chickpeas with water and leave overnight. Then drain the water, rinse the chickpeas.
Boil chickpeas in water for 20 minutes. Drain the water into a separate container.
Finely chop onion, garlic and celery.
Fry onion, garlic and celery in vegetable oil until transparent.
Add the tomatoes. Continue to simmer, stirring occasionally. After 7 minutes, add spices, salt and pepper.
Then add chickpeas to the pan, stir and simmer for half an hour on low heat. Add water periodically in which the chickpeas were boiled. Cook the chickpeas until soft.
