Description of the preparation:
Meatballs can be prepared in advance and stored in the freezer. In the original version, they go to the dough raw, but I like more fried. Such meatballs are obtained with a crisp, thanks to which the entire juice inside is maximally preserved. Which way to choose is up to you. You can make a pie with meatballs under a cheese crust for a family dinner or for the arrival of close friends. The ingredients are designed for a mold size of 18-20 cm. The pastries are hearty and very tasty! Take note!
Prepare all the ingredients.
Stuff the mince in a deep bowl.
Add onion grated on a coarse grater, chopped garlic, oatmeal (optional), salt and pepper to taste.
Pour in approximately 50 ml. cold water for juiciness and mix thoroughly.
Form meatballs from the prepared minced meat, roll them in flour and transfer to a well-heated frying pan.
Fry the meatballs on both sides over high heat until lightly browned. They do not need to be brought to readiness, since they will come during baking in the oven.
Beat eggs with salt in a deep bowl. Add kefir, flour and baking powder. Shuffle everything until smooth. The dough is ready.
Cover the baking dish with parchment. Sprinkle the bottom and sides with semolina or flour and pour the dough. Flatten it with a spoon.
Sprinkle a little grated cheese on top of the dough and press the meatballs into the dough.
Lubricate the meatballs on top with mayonnaise (can be replaced with sour cream) and sprinkle with the remaining grated cheese. Bake at a temperature of 180 degrees for about 50 minutes or until golden brown on top (focus on your oven).
The meatball pie under the cheese crust is ready. Let it stand for 15-20 minutes and serve.
