Canned grapes in bunches – a step-by-step recipe with a photo on Povar.ru
Cooking description:
Juicy and colorful grape harvest will delight your loved ones with its taste in winter. The compote will turn out to be fragrant and sweet, and from grapes you can make a sweet dessert or a delicious salad with chicken, boiled meat or mushrooms.
Prepare the indicated ingredients. Use seedless grapes, "Kish-mish" variety.
Rinse the grapes in water and place them in a jar straight in bunches. It is not necessary to tamp strongly – the berries should not burst.
Boil water in a kettle and pour boiling water into the jar to the top, placing a knife under the jar so that it does not burst due to the temperature difference.
Cover the jar with a tin lid and let the grapes steam for 10 minutes. The larger the berries, the longer they will need to cook.
Pour granulated sugar into a saucepan or ladle and add lemon juice. The juice can be replaced with citric acid – this product will prevent the preservation from fermenting.
Change the lid from the tin to the drain and drain the liquid into a pan of granulated sugar. Place the saucepan on the stove and boil the syrup until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
Pour the hot syrup into a jar of steamed grapes.
Immediately screw the container back on with the hot screw cap or with a conservation wrench Test the workpiece for strength by flipping it over the sink. Leave to cool at room temperature, and then transfer to a storage location: cellar, basement, etc.
Remove the preservation as needed. By the way, from such grapes in winter you can make an excellent salad with chicken and other ingredients.
