Breaded fish cakes – a step by step recipe with photos on

Description of the preparation:

You can cook breaded fishcakes for a family dinner or for any festive table. You can take any fish or use ready-made minced meat, it all depends on your preferences. As a breading, I will use ordinary unleavened crackers without additives. You can use store crackers with additives or make homemade breadcrumbs of stale bread yourself.

Prepare all the ingredients.

Cut the crust off the bread and soak it in milk.

If you do not use ready-made minced fish, then gut the fish, rinse and disassemble on a filet. Roll the fillet through a mincer with a fine wire rack. The skin can be left or removed – at will.

Add to the prepared minced meat an egg, onions scrolled through a meat grinder, soaked bread, chopped greens, minced garlic, salt, pepper and spices to taste.

Mix everything thoroughly.

Form cutlets and roll them on all sides in breadcrumbs.

Fry the meatballs over high heat until golden brown, then cover and simmer over low heat with a little water until it boils completely.
