Description of the preparation:
In the process of cooking, the pumpkin is saturated with all the flavors of the dish and does not beat out to taste, but gives the borsch a special highlight. If you have not cooked such a borscht yet, then I recommend correcting it. It turns out very tasty! For cooking, you can use both water and any meat broth. Today I have an easier option on chicken stock.
Prepare all the ingredients.
Pour the broth or water into the pan, add salt to taste, spices and bay leaf. Place the pot on the stove and bring to a boil.
When the water boils, add shredded cabbage.
After about 7-10 minutes, add the diced potatoes and cook together until cooked.
Meanwhile, heat oil in a frying pan and put grated carrots and diced onions. Sauté the vegetables until soft and add the grated beets.
Fry everything together until fully cooked, add the diced pumpkin.
Cook for about 4-5 minutes.
Add the contents of the pan to the pan and continue to cook the soup until all the ingredients are ready.
Add chopped herbs and chopped garlic a couple of minutes before cooking. Borsch with pumpkin is ready.
