Barley porridge with meat is a tasty and satisfying dish. Any porridge with the addition of meat becomes many times more aromatic, including barley. Use any meat, but best of all, chicken or pork, they do not take so long to cook and quickly become soft.
Prepare all ingredients.
Rinse the pork, cut the meat into medium pieces.
Peel vegetables, dice onions and carrots.
Heat oil in a skillet, add vegetables and meat.
Fry the meat and vegetables quickly over high heat. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir.
Add washed barley grits.
Pour in warm water, add a little salt.
Cook porridge with meat covered over low heat for 20-25 minutes. If there is still water at the end, open the lid and cook for another 5 minutes, the water will evaporate.
