Below I will tell you in more detail how to make apple jam with sea buckthorn. Apples can be used of any variety, but if you want pieces to be found in the jam, then take hard ones. Sea buckthorn is suitable both fresh and frozen. If you like, you can additionally add ground cinnamon to taste. Sea buckthorn gives the jam a bright, recognizable taste, and apples make it thick. It turns out very tasty and sweet!
Prepare all ingredients.
Wash the sea buckthorn, sort it out, then grind it with a blender.
Rub the pitted berries through a sieve. Measure the volume of the resulting mass, then measure the same amount and sugar.
Wash the apples, core them and cut into cubes.
Pour sea buckthorn juice into a saucepan, add apples. Stir. Add sugar to a saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove the foam that will form. Remove the jam from the stove, cool.
Then bring to a boil again and cook for 5 minutes. Repeat the previous step 1-2 more times.
Spread the thickened hot jam in clean sterilized jars, close the lid.
Apple jam with sea buckthorn is ready, bon appetit!
