To make rabbit pie, you will need:

Rabbit weighing 1.2 kg
Onion – 1 pc.
Garlic – 2 cloves
Butter – 1.5 tbsp. l
Dry thyme and marjoram – 1 tsp.

For pate:
Chicken Liver – 450 g
Butter – 50 g
Brandy – 4 tbsp. l
Ground nutmeg – 1 tsp.
For the test:

Flour – 3 glasses
Salo – 100 g
Butter – 100 g
Milk – 100 ml
Eggs – 2 pcs.
Salt – 1 tsp.

First we deal with the filling: wash the rabbit, separate the meat from the bones and cut it into small cubes. Peel onion and garlic, finely chop and fry the vegetables in hot oil for about 5 minutes. Mix with meat, herbs, salt and pepper.
Drain the prepared liver, cut into slices and fry in hot oil for about 7 minutes. Add brandy and nutmeg. Salt, pepper and grind in a blender.
Now let's do the test. Sift in a bowl of flour with a pinch of salt. Boil the milk and half a glass of water. Add diced lard and butter, bring to a boil. Remove from the heat and gradually stirring, pour into a bowl of flour.
Lubricate with oil a detachable form, the bottom is covered with baking paper. Thinly roll out 2/3 of the cooked dough and make them shape. Lay out half the filling. Add the pate and cover with the remaining filling. Roll out the remaining dough, cover the cake.
Now it remains only to cut off the extra dough and zaschipnut edges. Do not forget to make a hole in the center of the test, so that the air has a place to go.
Lubricate the "lid" of the cake with a slightly beaten egg. Bake for about 20 minutes at 200 C. Then reduce the oven temperature to 150 ° C and bake for another 1.5 hours, covered with paper. The cake is almost ready: remove the side parts of the form, grease the walls of the cake with a beaten egg, cover the top with paper and return to the oven for 15 minutes at 200 C.
