Meatballs with rice in gravy

minced meat 500 g
eggs 1 pc.
1/2 cup rice
onion 1 head
salt 1 tsp.

for gravy:

water 1.5 cups
sour cream 1 tbsp.
flour 1 tbsp.
tomato paste 1 tsp
bay leaf

Cooking:

1 For cooking meatballs, boil rice until half cooked in salted water. If the rice is boiled until tender, then the meatballs can fall apart during frying. Onion cut into small cubes and fry until transparent in a pan. Forcemeat a little to beat off, so that the meat becomes dense and the meatballs turned out knocked down.
2 Combine minced meat, fried onions, rice, egg, salt to taste. Carefully knead the stuffing. Form a meatball the size of a walnut. Roll in flour and fry in vegetable oil until golden brown.
3 Then pour a glass of hot water, slightly salted, bay leaf and a spoonful of tomato paste into the pan with the fried meatballs. Cover and let simmer for 10 minutes.
4 Dissolve flour and sour cream in warm water, mix lumps well. Pour this mixture into the pan, cover with a lid and shake the pan a little to let the meatballs dip into the flour sauce. Stew for 15 minutes on low heat. Serve meatballs with gravy to a side dish of potatoes, spaghetti or vegetable stew.
