To prepare this dish you will need:
Tomatoes in their own juice – 1 can (400 g)
Onion – 1 piece
Carrots – 2 pieces
Celery – 4 stems
Cherry tomatoes – 10 pieces
Garlic – 3 cloves
Flour – 3 tbsp. l
Canned lentils – 2 banks
Bacon – 150 g thin slices
Cut bacon across strips about 1 cm thick. Peel and chop the onions as small as possible. Crush garlic, peel and grind. Pour 1 tablespoon of oil into a cold, large frying pan, put bacon and send to the stove for about 5 minutes. Add the onions and garlic to the bacon and, without ceasing to stir, fry for another 10 minutes. Add flour, mix well and fry for another 2 minutes.
Now take care of the vegetables. Cut the carrots and celery stalks in half and cut them into thin slices. In a clean skillet, heat a little olive oil and fry the vegetables until soft, about 10 minutes. Transfer the vegetables to a mixture of bacon and onions.
Throw lentils in a colander, let the liquid drain completely. Add lentils to the pan with bacon and vegetables, add canned tomatoes with juice, salt and pepper and boil over high heat. Deep baking dish with olive oil, put the lentil mixture into it and send to the oven for 15 minutes at 190 ° С.
While the casserole is being prepared, cut the cherry tomatoes in half and evenly distribute the halves of the tomatoes cut down on the casserole. Return to the oven for another 20 minutes.
